Draw For Me terms & conditions

A little space to draw should feel welcoming. These terms explain what you can expect from the app, what belongs to you, and the limits that help us keep it available.

About these terms

These terms cover the Draw For Me website, browser app, mobile app and reaction service (together, the “service”), operated by Pocket Dusk in British Columbia, Canada (“we”, “us”). Contact us at support@drawforme.app.

By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using it. Our privacy policy explains how information is handled; these terms do not replace the separate notice and choice shown before your first drawing upload.

Who the app is for

Draw For Me is designed for adults. You must be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority where you live to use it. No signup is currently required. An anonymous installation or browser credential identifies your app for access and usage limits; it is not a recoverable user account.

AI reactions

When you choose to show a picture, AI services generate the reaction, voice and timing. The characters are fictional presentations of AI output, not people watching your drawing. Their warm tone does not create a family, caregiver, professional or personal relationship.

AI may misread a drawing, invent details, mispronounce words, or produce an inaccurate, upsetting or inappropriate response. A reaction is not an assessment of your abilities, feelings, mental health or personal circumstances. The app provides a creative experience, not therapy, medical advice or emergency support.

You can stop playback, keep drawing without requesting a reaction, and report a reaction from its transcript. Reports help us investigate service problems, but we cannot promise a particular response, interpretation or correction.

Your drawings & permissions

Your drawings remain yours. We do not acquire ownership because you create, save or submit them. Only submit content you have the rights and permission to use, including permission for personal information about someone else that you choose to include.

Choosing to send a drawing gives us a limited, non-exclusive permission to process it, together with your optional name, and to pass the necessary content to the providers described in the privacy policy to make and deliver the requested reaction. This permission includes delivery retries and audio regeneration you request. It does not authorize us to publish your drawings, use them in advertising, or sell them as artwork.

You may save, replay and share the reactions supplied with your drawings. To the extent we hold rights in those supplied reactions, we permit those uses. AI output may resemble output supplied to others; we do not guarantee exclusivity, copyright protection or freedom from third-party rights. This permission does not give you ownership of a provider’s voice, model or technology, or permission to impersonate a real person.

Storage & privacy

Your fridge is a local collection, not a public gallery or cloud backup. Drawings and saved recordings are stored on your device or in the browser you use. Clearing app or site data, uninstalling, private browsing, storage cleanup or device failure can remove them. We cannot restore local files or move them between devices through an account. Export pictures you want to keep separately.

AI processing requires sending content outside your device. Provider retention differs from our backend’s temporary processing. Deleting a local drawing does not automatically delete operational records or provider copies. The privacy policy describes retention, processing and deletion requests; these terms do not grant broader data-use permissions than that notice.

Fair use & safety

Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not use it to:

• Submit or generate content involving child sexual abuse or exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, unlawful threats, targeted harassment, hate or incitement to violence.
• Commit fraud, violate someone’s privacy or intellectual property, or present generated speech as a real person’s statement in order to deceive.
• Distribute malware, gain unauthorized access, disrupt the service, or extract other people’s content or credentials.
• Evade quotas or safety controls by rotating identities or network addresses, share access credentials for that purpose, or automate bulk requests without our written permission.

We use installation, browser, IP/network and service-wide limits to manage abuse and costs. People on the same connection may share a limit. Clearing browser storage does not entitle you to a fresh allowance. A quota is a maximum, not a guarantee that a reaction will be available.

Availability & pricing

The current version has no in-app purchases or subscription charges. Internet or device charges from your own provider may still apply. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and applicable purchase terms before you choose to buy; these terms do not authorize future automatic charges.

Reactions depend on internet access, service capacity and third-party providers. We may change features or limits, carry out maintenance, or discontinue part of the service. We will give reasonable notice of significant planned reductions where practicable, and any notice or remedy required by law. Security incidents or provider outages may require immediate action.

App & third-party rights

We permit you to use the app for its intended drawing, saving and reaction features under these terms. App branding, interface artwork and other supplied materials remain with their respective rights holders. Your drawings are separate from those materials. Any open-source or other separately licensed components remain governed by their own licenses.

Google Play and other distributors may have their own terms for downloads and purchases. Pocket Dusk operates Draw For Me; Google does not provide the reaction service. Links to external sites do not make us responsible for their content or practices.

Ending use & restrictions

You can stop using the service at any time. Uninstalling or clearing site data may remove local work, so export first if you want to keep it. Server-data deletion requests are handled as described in the privacy policy.

We may limit or suspend reaction access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations or unpaid charges for any future purchase you separately authorize. Where practicable, we will explain a restriction and let you contact support if you believe it is a mistake. Immediate action may be necessary to prevent harm. A restriction does not transfer ownership of your drawings to us.

Responsibility & your rights

We aim to provide a useful, reliable experience, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free AI output or recovery of local files. Except for guarantees that the law requires, the service is provided as available, without additional promises of fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer remedies, or excuse fraud or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms takes away consumer, privacy or other rights that apply where you live.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, except where mandatory laws where you live give you protections that cannot be excluded. This choice does not restrict your right to bring a claim in a court available to you under those mandatory laws.

Please contact us first if something goes wrong so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require private arbitration or waive your right to use a court, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms as the app changes. We will revise the date on this page and provide notice of material changes through the website or app where practicable, seeking agreement where required by law. Changes apply prospectively, not to take away rights you already have. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
